The annual Gurwin Celebration Gala is a major fundraising event hosted by the Gurwin Jewish Healthcare Foundation each year to support the many programs and services offered by the Gurwin Healthcare System to hundreds of frail, elderly and medically complex older adults each day.

2025 Gurwin Gala
The 2025 Gurwin Gala was held Thursday, November 13, 2025 at The Lannin in Eisenhower Park. We were proud to honor Alan Pfeffer, QPA, AIF and The Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group. Under Alan’s leadership, the Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group Team has been a steadfast supporter of Gurwin and our dedicated team members, offering our employees comprehensive retirement and flex spending services, and helping us continue our mission of caring for generations to come.
2025 Joseph Gurwin Award Recipients
The Joseph Gurwin Award is presented to individuals who exemplify the qualities of leadership, vision, passion, philanthropy, and the ability to inspire others. This year’s award recipients are long-time Gurwin supporters Gail and Sandy Stoll. Sandy Stoll has been a dedicated Gurwin Board Member, and together, Gail and Sandy have been loyal donors for nearly three decades. Mr. Stoll has been an integral part of the team that has led to outstanding accomplishments and has helped to ensure Gurwin is prepared to thrive in an ever-changing and challenging healthcare landscape.
Beyond the fun, our annual Gala is about making a difference. We thank all those who turned out in support of our organization. Your generosity helps make a difference in the lives of all those who are cared for by Gurwin — whether in our skilled nursing facilities, assisted living or independent living communities, our short-term rehabilitation, adult day care or home care programs. It’s your support that helps our staff continue to deliver high quality, compassionate care to all those who call Gurwin “home” today, and for generations to come.
