A Practical Guide for Healthcare Professionals CEU Workshop

This educational session provides healthcare and social service professionals with a practical overview of key elder law and estate planning topics, including health care proxies, advance directives, powers of attorney and long-term care planning trusts. The program also explores caregiver burnout, helping participants recognize early warning signs and apply effective strategies to support family caregivers through communication, validation and timely referrals.

Presenters for this workshop include:

  • James Burdi, Esq.,  Partner at Vishnick McGovern Milizio LLP’s Wills, Trusts, and Estates and Elder Law Practices, Head of the Special Needs Planning and Adulting 101℠ subpractices and member of the Real Estate practice
  • Helen Tuckman, Esq., Associate at Vishnick McGovern Milizio LLP’s Wills, Trusts and Estates practice

Attendees will leave with actionable tools to better guide patients and families while promoting stronger outcomes across the care continuum. Social workers and certified case managers will earn 2 CEU credits for this workshop.

This program has been pre-approved by The Commission for Case Manager Certification to provide continuing education credit to CCM® board-certified case managers via Family First Home Companions of New York, recognized by the NYS Education Department’s State Board for Social Work (#SW-0417).
